Join us for our first LGPA breakfast for 2023 where we will be deep diving all things State Development Assessment Unit (SDAU) following almost 3 years of operation.
This session will provide you with a 360º look at the SDAU pathway from the perspectives of those involved in the process and what the future may look like for major development proposals in WA.
We will first hear from Professor David Caddy, Chairman of the Western Australian Planning Commission, who will share his thoughts on the success of the SDAU pathway following the consideration of 15 proposals and whether the pathway has successfully addressed challenges in WA construction markets.
David’s presentation will be followed by a Q&A with Stevan Rodic, Director Planning & Development at the City of Stirling and private industry representatives where we will hear about their experiences processing development applications through the SDAU pathway - their approach, what worked well, what could be improved and how they felt it faired against the JDAP pathway.
