Join us for our next LGPA Breakfast to hear an interesting discussion on the Mid-Tier Transport Strategy for Perth.

Mid-Tier Public Transport is a transport typology which can consist of a variety of Light Rail, Bus Rapid Transit or Trackless Tram technology. This transport typology is missing in Perth’s existing public transport framework and without it Perth will struggle to meet its infill housing targets and will not transition into a sustainable city.

This breakfast will explore how 15 Local Governments have come together to work with the State Labor Government to prepare a Mid-Tier Transport Strategy, that will:

  • Bridge the nexus between climate, liveability, congestion and housing diversity and affordability
  • Strengthen the METRONET network by connecting METRONET Stations with Activity Centres and employment hubs
  • Build a public transport network that will deliver the necessary infrastructure to support a growing population in Perth

We will hear from Sergio Famiano who will present on the topic followed by a Q&A and discussion from panellists – Marion Fulker from Committee of Perth, Tom Griffiths from South West Group and Sergio Famiano from the City of Canning.
