Come join us for our annual Case Law Update where Craig Slarke and Paul McQueen will highlight and discuss some interesting and recent decisions by the State Administrative Tribunal that have the potential to alter procedural matters or to shed new light on the interpretation of legislation and planning policy.
Paul and Craig will review recent Supreme Court and SAT cases of interest to local government planners, including a discussion about why the R-Codes do not always mean what they say; the scope of the SAT’s powers on review and what that means for a review limited to conditions; when grouped dwellings are actually multiple dwellings, and a bunch of other interesting stuff.
Folllowing the presentations, Giovanna Lumbaca, Acting Manager of City Future at the City of Stirling will join Craig and Paul on a Q&A panel to share her experiences at SAT as well as how local governments can best engage in the process and facilitate good outcomes.
